PENZANCE-BASED progressive rockers Blank Panda return to The Studio Bar, Penzance, tomorrow.

They said: "We're recording this show for a live release in the future, so to make sure that everyone's in the mood we've got two of our favourite bands in the county with us – Athena Rockets who rocked with us in May and introducing the awesome GloryFire making their Studio bar debut."

Blank Panda ("we wanted a name with literally no meaning, so the only thing it could bring to mind was us") hit the studio earlier in the year with producer Dare Mason to record their as yet untitled debut album. Drawing influences from bands like Porcupine Tree, Pink Floyd, Incubus, The Mars Volta and Opeth, with strong catchy melodies, huge grooves and one of the tightest rhythm sections around, the band are drawing rave reviews and gathering a large following locally and online.

The Studio's doors open at 9pm with free entry until 10pm and then a nominal charge of £2.
