More than £3000 worth of archery equipment was stolen from a shed outside of Menheniot village, which is potentially lethal in the wrong hands say police.
Police are appealing for information following the burglary near Liskeard, which took plaec sometime between February 15 and March 8.
The archery equipment included a crossbow, long bows, arrows and distinctive detailed quivers were stolen.
A spokesman for the police said: “Police are warning that not only are these items potentially lethal in the wrong hands but that a long bow drawn by someone other than the person it is normally used by can potentially cause significant injuries to the user and are asking people to be vigilant.
“These items are very specific and police urge anyone to contact them if they have any information or are approached by anyone selling such items.”
