British Transport Police are asking the public to help identify a man after a woman had her luggage stolen on the London to Penzance train.
Officers have released CCTV images of a man they believe has information which can assist the investigation into the incident which took place on Wednesday December 18.
Police Constable, Bob Edwards, said: “The victim placed her suitcase in the luggage compartment in coach B on board the 1406hrs London Paddington - Penzance service on Wednesday, 18 December.
“The victim, who was travelling with her husband and young daughter, checked her luggage periodically during the journey but when the train arrived at Hayle, she noticed it was missing.”
Police officers are seeking help from the public after extensive enquiries failed to trace the person responsible for the theft.

Officers believe he boarded the train at St Austell at around 6.30pm and got off at Truro around 20 minutes later.
