In a statement issued on Friday, Devon and Cornwall Police have said that there is now "little hope" of finding Jordan Cobb, the 16-year-old teenager who jumped from the Torpoint Ferry.

Extensive searches of sea and shoreline carried out over the last two weeks have involved the police, RNAS Culdrose helicopter, several RNLI teams and the MoD.

The police statement said:

"Following yesterday's extensive search by police divers off the Tamar ferry along with shoreline searches carried out by the MoD, coastguard and Royal Navy during the low tide, police report that the body of Jordan Cobb has still not been located."

The statement continued:

"Based on the time since he went missing, the last known sighting of him in the River Tamar on New Year's Eve and no information since, there is now little hope of finding Jordan alive."

He was seen to jump from the Torpoint Ferry into the River Tamar at around 9:15pm on New Year's Eve.
