A fresh appeal for information led police to locate the family of a Launceston man who died on the A30 just before Christmas.
Devon and Cornwall Police asked for help to trace the family of 38-year-old Cameron Turner who was killed after his car was reportedly struck by three others on December 22.
A spokesperson for the police said: "Following a media appeal the family of Cameron Turner have been located in Nottinghamshire and spoken to."
Police revealed earlier in the search that Mr Turner had been known in the past as Stuart Long and was born Stuart Froggatt.
Mr Turner was estranged from his family, and had not long been in Cornwall after moving here from the midlands.
The inquest into Mr Turner’s death was opened and adjourned last week.
