POLICE are hunting for a knifeman after a man was stabbed three times in the buttock on Higher Bore Street in Bodmin this morning.

The victim, 24, was walking along the street near the public toilets with his partner between 6.50-7am when words were exchanged with a group of seven men walking in the opposite direction on the other side of the road.

The victim and one of the men then met in the middle of the road before the victim was punched in the face, causing him to fall to the floor.

After being punched several times, a man then stabbed the victim three times in the buttock.

One of the stab wounds required treatment on the scene from paramedics who stitched the incision back together. Hospital treatment wasn’t required.

The victim also had bruising and swelling to the left side of his face as a result of the blows.

Police have described the offender as a skinny male in his twenties, with short dark hair gelled back and a height of around 5ft 8”, wearing dark clothes.

Anyone who has any information is asked to call police on 101 quoting the crime reference number BB/13/1780.

This excuse for a human being must be caught soon and locked up. No community orders or suspended sentences please. Try and think of the victim for a change.
