Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious road collision on the A38 at Tideford yesterday.

A HGV lorry and a Jaguar car collided at around 10.25am yesterday morning (February 12).

The Jaguar was travelling eastbound towards Plymouth, whilst the HGV was travelling in the opposite direction.

The driver of the Jaguar – a man in his 60s – was taken to Derriford Hospital with serious injuries.

At the time of the collision, the weather was poor and there was reduced visibility due to strong winds and rain.

Officers are seeking information from witnesses, particularly those who may have seen the Jaguar before the collision.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Police on 101, quoting log number 0205 of 120214.
