DO you know this man? Police are appealing for the public’s help after an American tourist’s rucksack was stolen from a train in Cornwall.
The incident happened on a train from Penzance. The man pictured got off at Camborne but then caught another train to Redruth.
British Transport Police identified him from CCTV and believe he will have information which can help the investigation into the theft, which took place on Wednesday, July 31.
Investigating officer constable Wayne Frost said: “The victim, a man in his 50s who was visiting from the USA, boarded the 6.45am Penzance to London Paddington service at Penzance station.
“He later reported his rucksack missing. After reviewing CCTV footage, I would like to identify and speak to the man in these photographs as I believe he will have key information about the incident.
“The man in these pictures travelled on the same train as the victim and departed at Camborne station where he left the station for a while, before returning and catching the 8.00am service to Redruth station.
“He is described as white, aged about 25, with short, shaved dark hair. He was wearing a white T-shirt and dark trousers.”
