Police appeal overPenzance town centre assault on 14-year-old boy

Penzance police are appealing for witnesses to an assault that happened in Market Jew Street on Tuesday.

Shortly before 5pm, a 14-year-old boy, a visitor to Penzance, had a sandwich thrown at him and was then punched to the face whilst standing next to the Humphry Davy statue.

The offender is described as a white male aged 15-16-years-old with short spiked fair hair; he was wearing a black hoody and carrying a black Nike rucksack.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Devon and Cornwall police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111, quoting crime reference number AP/14/609.

    Because this little thug was under age I suppose we will get that old "cannot be named for legal reasons". Name and shame him and it might make his parents take some interest in what he gets up to.
