Police are investigating after two male moped riders launched a road rage attack on a woman in Truro.

The incident involved two mopeds which were seen riding around and in front of a Land Rover, causing the woman driver to brake and take action to keep control of the vehicle.

The two riders, believed to be male, made hand gestures while swearing and shouting at her.

The woman, in her 30s, was left distressed by the behaviour of the riders during the incident in Treliske Lane.

Police are seeking witnesses to the incident which happened on February 14 between 4pm and 4.30pm.

They are keen to identify the riders of the mopeds; one of vehicles was red and the second was black and grey.

If you witnessed the incident or have any further information contact the police on 101, quoting crime reference number GT/14/325.

A quick dab on the accelerator at the right time would have made sure at least one of the perpetrators would have been stopped, followed by "Well officer, he cut right in front of me and I had no time to apply my brakes!"

Why do the media persist in calling it road rage like it is some form of ailment? It is rank rudeness and bad driving combined and those guilty should be severely punished as their driving is a threat to public safety.
