Police name Goonhavern car crash victim as Daniel Laszczak of Perranporth

Police have confirmed that the young man killed in a car crash near Goonhavern earlier this week was Daniel Laszczak from Perranporth.

Mr Laszczak, a father of three, died on the A3075 on Monday, after his a blue VW Golf left the road near to Primrose Farm.

The family of the 28-year-old have been informed.

Devastated friends of the popular dad have been posting tributes on social networking site Facebook.

Anthony Pullen posted: “Sad day today. RIP Dan Laszczak everyone who knew you will remember what a legend you were and how you always made people cry with laughter.

“Always there for his mates I will never forget you sticking up for me when we were kids and I was about to get my head kicked in until you came and got involved.

“A massive character and anyone who had the joy of knowing you will feel lost right now.

“Thoughts go out to all your family and friends.

“A sad day for Perranporth, taken too early but at least you’re hangin [sic] out with your mate Mark Lamming.

“RIP mate I’ll miss you.”

Steve Chapman wrote: “Such shocking news. There was never a dull moment at school when Dan was around.

“A top bloke and one who will be missed so much by everyone. Rest in peace Dan, all my thoughts are with you and your family. X”

Julian Price posted: “Truly terrible news. Thoughts go out to all your family and friends.

“Dan the guy who always made you smile no matter how down you felt.

“Big love Ju, Amber and family xxx”

Mourners have begun to lay floral tributes at the spot of the tragedy.

Emergency services closed the road for seven hours while a specialist forensic examination of the scene took place.

Police from the Serious Collisions Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses to the crash.

They would also like to speak to anyone who may have seen the car travelling on the A3075 around the time of the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting log number 674 of 07/04/14.
