SOURCE FM, the Falmouth-based community radio station, begins its season of Parklive events this Sunday with a slightly different format than last year.

The event maintains its family-friendly and free approach to showcasing local performance and spoken word. The acts on the main Parklive stage include Abbee Hague, Girls Cry Wolf, Florence Bird, Jeanne, Ashleigh Height and Four People with special guests Kieran and Lewis, pictured.

However, this year Parklive is expanding with the addition of a special acoustic tent, which has been sponsored by FEAST. The new area is designed to give up-and-coming performers a chance to show what they can do in front of an audience. Station manager Matthew Rogers said: "We have taken on board the feedback from last year and have given special attention towards creating an area where younger people can develop ideas, share inspirational stories and try out some of their developing skills in front of a smaller audience."

Parklive is sponsored by Townsend Accommodation, Falmouth University and Falmouth Town Council.

The fun begins at 11am with some Zumba and finishes at 5pm. Get in touch with Source FM on 01326 211782 or e-mail matthew@thesourcefm.co.uk for more details.
