HUNDREDS of people dressed as Father Christmas have gathered in Padstow today to take part in a charity fun run and cycle.

The fun run set off just after 1pm today, while the cycle left Padstow earlier this morning.

The event is held at various locations across Cornwall to help raise funds for Cornwall Hospice Care, providing adult hospice care services across the region.

Men, women, young and old all took part in the fun run. Donning their Father Christmas outfits those taking part had the option to run either one or two miles.

Mince pies and a hot drink were waiting for runners on the finish line.

The Padstow Santa Fun Run and Cycle is organised by Cornwall Hospice Care who run Cornwall's 2 adult hospices - Children's Hospice South West are a completely separate unrelated charity covering the whole of the south west. The cycle was from Wadebridge. The above reporting is poor - sorry but please get your facts right.
