This is the moment a St Austell Brewery lorry crashed near Wadebridge in thick fog.

The lorry, which is believed to have been carrying a heavy load of St Austell brewery ale, overturned close to the roundabout near the Tregonning Ford garage at around 4.30am this morning.

Visibility was severely reduced due to the fog, with some drivers reporting that it was down to just 10 metres.

No other vehicles were involved and there were no reports of any injuries.

Police and emergency services were on the scene and traffic was backed up in both directions.

The vehicle was eventually recovered and traffic returned to normal around 9am.

Jeremy Mitchell from St Austell Brewery said: “One of our delivery vehicles was involved in an accident in Wadebridge at 4.30am on Thursday morning.

"Due to the heavy fog the vehicle hit the kerb on a roundabout and turned over.

"Thankfully the driver was not injured and no other vehicle was involved. We apologise to anyone delayed by the incident.”

The fog made the driver hit the kerb? What did it do, did it make it jump out at him?
