ONE of the most picturesque churches in Cornwall holds its annual organ celebration next week.

St Just in Roseland Organ Week sees Jonathan Bielby MBE (Organist Emeritus, Wakefield Cathedral) giving three linked organ recitals.

The pipe organ was built by Heard & Sons circa 1897 and rebuilt by Lance Foy 100 years later.

Thanks to a fantastic mobile console, Jonathan's every movement can be seen as he uses keyboards, pedals and pulls all the stops out.

He is a former cathedral and town hall organist who will thrill you with the majesty and delicacy of organ music from all eras.

He performs War and Peace on Tuesday, By Special Request next Thursday and If Music Be The Food of Love next Saturday, all at 7pm.

Each concert has an interval and will finish by 9pm, making it possible for concertgoers to get back home on the King Harry Ferry (last ferry 9.30pm).

Wine and soft drinks will be on sale in the intervals in aid of church funds.

Tickets at the door are £6 for one concert, £10 for two and £15 for all three. Accompanied under-16s go free.
