THIS week a team of Bodmin teenagers behind an internet radio station covering North Cornwall celebrate a year since the launch of the project.

NCB Radio has been on air for just over two months.

Station and programme manager Aaron James, 19, said: "We're pleased to have brought Alive Studios in Wadebridge and Open Telecom International on board as sponsors of NCB.

" Our ethos – while obviously aiming to break even – is to integrate into the community, and we saw the same ambition at the heart of Alive Studios: to use what they've built to benefit local musicians."

Programming balanced the need for a commercial-style playlist with community-style presentation, he said, with specialist presenters featuring after 9pm on weekdays.

The station is also inviting organisers of events in North Cornwall to get in touch by going to its website, found at www.ncbradio.co.uk .
