A DENTAL practice in Newquay has been co–opted to help Truro’s Royal Cornwall Hospital following a rush in referrals.

As waiting times for minor oral surgery biopsies and wisdom teeth extractions have crept up, Gentle Dental on Henver Road has been asked to help with the work load.

Adam Randall, from the practice, said: “We were pleased to be asked to help support the hospital and reduce waiting times.

“We have one of the few 3D scanners of the jaw in the county and this allows us to more safely plan complex treatments. Our plan is that this service will reduce waiting times and improve access to people from across Cornwall.”
