The clocks have changed and the nights are drawing in, which means one thing, the Christmas countdown has begun in earnest.
The new Truro Christmas Guide is out today, Thursday, November 1, and is packed with over 50 pages of things to see and do in the city over the festive period.
Graham Rust who designed the booklet said, "We have definitely broken with tradition this year for the design.
"The theme is based on the magic of Christmas night itself, incorporating Truro Cathedral, the City Of Lights parade and the proposed ice rink."
27,000 copies of the Christmas guide will be distributed throughout Truro and surrounding areas and has a comprehensive breakdown of all of the events, dates and times.
Also included in this edition are details for Ice Skate Truro, the proposed ice rink on Cathedral Green in the city centre.
Planning permission has been applied for to create Cornwall's only open air Ice Rink due to open at the end of November and running throughout the festive period.
Neil Scott, BID manager for Totally Truro, the Business Improvement District said, "Christmas has always been a magical time in Truro, but this year looks set to go up a level.
"Everything from The City of Lights parade through to Ice Skate Truro can be found in the guide, along with a day by day breakdown of shows and events taking place.
"And as if that wasn't enough, it also helps you find best places to eat and shop over the festive period."
The guide is available from the Truro Tourist Information Centre, online at www.enjoytruro.co.uk or by calling Totally Truro on 01872 273999.
