A BUILDING surveyor has returned to Cornwall to take up a new role with a Falmouth company.

John Darbyshire, who is originally from Mylor, has joined Falmouth-based RTP Surveyors after spending three years working in Bristol.

Mr Darbyshire qualified as a chartered building surveyor in 2012.

RTP director, Richard Collett, said: “John’s skills in project management, technical due diligence, dilapidations and all aspects of building surveying will serve to strengthen our already successful team.

“We’re thrilled that we’re able to attract such high calibre, young surveyors back to the region.”

RTP Surveyors is an independent firm of design-led chartered building surveyors which has offices in Falmouth and Bodmin and operates throughout the South West.

Mr Darbyshire, a keen sailor and mountain-biker, said: “I’m very pleased to have returned to the Falmouth area and look forward to developing my skills further and, in doing so, expanding RTP’s portfolio of clients and work.”
