IT HAS been a case of "hair today, gone tomorrow" for men across the Camborne Redruth area.
Many took part in the Mo-vember event, growing moustaches and raising cash for prostate cancer research, and then shaving them off again.
Around 30 hirsute individuals at Tehidy Park Golf Club took part, collecting about £400 between them.
After some light hearted judging by ladies' captain Jane Hollis, club member Liz Plechowicz and catering manageress Kathy Hoyle, Paul Phillips was judged to have grown the best moustache during the month.
At Trevithick Learning Academy male staff spent the month growing moustaches and then took part in a "village people" style event
They had their bushy moustaches shaved off in front of the whole school.
Throughout November, the male staff at Roskear Primary and Nursery School grew moustaches to raise money and awareness for men's health issues, specifically testicular and prostate cancer.
Weekly photos were taken and placed on the school website and reception TV screen for everyone to track their progress.
At the end of the month the moustaches were shaved off in front of the whole school, raising more than £120.
And even West Briton photographer Geoff Hichens got in on the act, raising £250 in memory of a good friend who died from cancer last year.
