53 mins – The first and only points of the opening forty minutes finaly arrive as Aaron Penberthy nudges the Pirates ahead with a 25 metre penalty. Moseley 0 Pirates 3.

6 – Moseley have a chance to level the scores but fly-half Glynn Hughes puts his kick wide.

11 – Penberthy is sin-binned after killing the ball close to his own line following a rapid counter-attack by Anthony Carter and Billy Robinson.

19 – Gavin Cattle has a try chalked off for a double movement in the act of scoring.

36 – The Pirates pack continues to heap pressure on the Moseley scrum but the half is typified as Moseley's front row infringe close to their own line on a defensive set piece and the Pirates are penalised.

44 – Good work from Ben Maidment and Jack Nowell earns their side a second penalty and Penberthy doubles the Pirates lead. Moseley 0 Pirates 6.

49 – Hughes attempts to reply for Moseley with a penalty from inside his own half but is again off target with his kick.

59 – The introduction of former Cornish Pirate Ollie Thomas to the match makes its first telling contribution as he lands a 35 metre penalty to open the home side's account. Moseley 3 Pirates 9.

65 – The Pirates are penalised in the tackle area and it's Thomas who strikes again from 40 metres. Moseley 6 Pirates 9.

67 – It's all square as Thomas goes one better, hitting the target from 45metres after Peter Joyce is adjudged to have infringed at the scrum. Moseley 9 Pirates 9.

76 – Hallett has a late opportunity to win the game for the Pirates, but his penalty attempt sails wide of the target.
