DRIVERS are facing difficult journeys this evening after heavy rain left large pools of standing water on the Cornish road network.

The A30 is reportedly only just passable at Blackwater by thwe Chiverton Cross roundabout, with large queues already forming ahead of rush hour.

There are also problems on two spots on the A3058, with standing water at both the junction with Rialton Road in Newquay and at the A390 junction in St Austell.

The B3275 is only just passable at Ladock due to flooding, while Commercial Road in Penryn is still only passable with care.

The road between Porth Navas and Mawnan Smith is also reported to be flooded, with drivers advised to find an alternative route.
