Million pound Pendennis Restaurant opens in Falmouth

DOZENS of guests have turned out to mark the opening of a one million pound restaurant in Falmouth.

After a three year refurbishment project, the brand new Pendennis Restaurant launched with a glamorous lunch for 80 special guests.

Situated on the ground floor of the Royal Duchy Hotel, its opening is part of a one million pound refurbishment project which has seen the transformation of the ground floor of the hotel including a new sun lounge and champagne bar, an improved leisure area and changing rooms and an updated ladies’ powder room.

Designed by Hannah Brend the new restaurant has already been awarded two AA Rosettes for outstanding quality.

Peter Brend, director of hotel owner Brend Hotels, said: “Falmouth has a very special place in our hearts.

“My father, Percy, first bought The Royal Duchy in 1977 and since then we have seen the town grow and prosper into the modern day quality resort suitable for a wide range of visitors that it is today.

“As a family, we are both delighted and proud to be part of Falmouth’s success story.

“We have an absolute commitment to providing top level luxury and service and look forward to welcoming both resident and non-resident customers to The Pendennis Restaurant in the months ahead.

“With delicious food and stunning views, I’m confident we will be offering an experience to remember.”

Brend Hotels is a family-run business that owns 11 hotels throughout Devon and Cornwall.
