Pupils from Marazion Primary swapped their uniforms for old-fashioned dresses and suits of armour to learn about the history of Britain.
The school held a Terrible Tudor day to launch the spring term topic which will introduce all the children to the Tudor period.
Teachers and pupils dressed up in costumes and took part in a range of activities to learn about the explorers, Henry VIII and Shakespeare.
One classroom was transformed in to a replica of the famous Globe Theatre.
Head teacher, Jenny Rainbow, said: “Each class worked with four different teachers during the day. We had such fun and learnt a lot. There were so many super outfits.”
The event is one of what the school calls super learning days which are held when a new topic is being introduced.
“We have super learning experiences each term - sometimes it is a whole school trip; sometimes we have visitors into school to launch a topic,” added Miss Rainbow.
