A 49-year-old who was found unconscious on the Bude coastline has died in hospital.
A man was discovered by crews on board Chivenor’s search and rescue Sea King helicopter at around 7pm last night.
The man was last seen at mid-morning on Friday after he went out walking.
His family reported him missing at around 4.30pm and a search was conducted by police, the coastguard and a local surf action group.
A man was later found on Summerleaze Beach and was taken to North Devon Hospital for treatment but later died.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen a white 49-year-old man wearing a black coat walking along the cliffs between mid-morning and 7pm to come forward.
