Godolphin Atlantic will play at home to St Blazey or Teignmouth in the quarter-finals of the Throgmorton Cup after a Phil Lowry brace helped Derek Martin's men to victory at Burngullow Park on Saturday.

Despite being without several first-team players, Godolphin avoided a potential cup upset against a Sticker side riding high in division one west.

Godolphin took a 34th minute when Lowry's cross was turned past his own goalkeeper by Jason Rogers.

Lowry then doubled his side’s advantage in the 63rd minute when, after his header was brilliantly saved by Ryan Holland, the striker stuck out a boot on the ground to poke the rebound past the Sticker goalkeeper.

Lowry wrapped up victory from the penalty spot in the 77th minute after player-manager Andy Avery was harshly adjudged to have fouled Godolphin substitute Josh Fearon in the box despite appearing to win the ball.

Throgmorton Cup quarter-final draw: Mousehole or Stoke Gabriel v Saltash or Elmore; Torpoint or Witheridge v St Austell or Ivybridge; Godolphin v St Blazey or Teignmouth; Plymouth Parkway v Appledore or Bodmin.
