Police are appealing for witnesses to help identify a man who has stolen more than £2,600 worth of cosmetics in Looe.

According to the police the man has stolen products from Boots in East Looe twice, on November 14, 2013 he concealed around £2,000 worth of cosmetics in his jacket before leaving without paying.

On January 28, 2014 at around 11.15am he stole £600 worth of L’oreal and Max Factor No7 products.

On this occasion he was challenged by the staff but he ran out of the store with the goods in his jacket, according to the police.

During both incidents the man was constantly on a mobile phone and wearing a beanie hat.

Police have released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the thefts and are asking anyone who recognises him to contact police.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting crime reference BE/13/683.

£2600 worth of beauty products carried out by one bloke? He must have had a bigger sack than Santa. It doesn't say much for the vigilance of the staff who work in the store when one bloke can nick all that stock.

"Do you recognise the picture of this man released by police?" ...you'd have thought theyd've hung onto him in the first place, wouldn't you.
