Police appeal after Looe schoolgirl is approached by van driver

Police in Looe are appealing for witnesses after a stranger approached a girl on her way home from school on Monday.

The 10-year-old was walking along Pendrim Road near to the junction of Elm Tree Road, East Looe when the incident took place at around 3.10pm.

The driver of a grey transit sized van that was being driven in the direction of Barbican Road beckoned her to come to the vehicle, but she walked away.

The driver then beckoned her again before she ran off.

The van is believed to have driven off in the direction of Barbican Road.

The driver is described as a white male in his early 40's with thinning grey hair.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting incident 703 09/12/13.
