Saltash United stole the headlines on the opening day of the Peninsula League premier division as they thrashed St Blazey 8-1 at Kimberley Stadium.
There were hat-tricks for former Blazey striker Jon Hoyles and new signing Kelvin Fineboys, while full backs Steve Sargison and Toby Clark also got on the scoresheet.
Champions Bodmin Town fell to a shock 2-1 home defeat against Witheridge. Lee Doel have Bodmin a first half lead but Witheridge scored twice in the last 25 minutes, the winner two minutes from time, to take all three points.
Newly-promoted Godolphin Atlantic were deserved 2-0 winners over title hopefuls St Austell at Godolphin Way.
After a goalless first half, Phil Lowry broke the deadlock with an excellent finish in the 48th minute and victory was secured eight minutes from time by Aaron Dilley's sweetly struck shot from 15 yards.
The G Men could have won by a bigger margin but for an excellent debut performance in the St Austell goal by Jason Chapman,
The former Falmouth keeper pulled off a brilliant save to deny Mark Rose from the penalty spot after 53 minutes, and also made a string of fine saves throughout the game.
Newquay launched their season under new manager Alan Carey with a 3-1 win at Liskeard, while Reg Hambly's Camelford beat Elburton Villa 2-1 at Trefrew Park.
Title favourites Plymouth Parkway came from 1-0 down to beat Falmouth 5-2 at Bickland Park with former Bodmin left back Luke Rundle scoring twice.
Launceston have started the season well with a 2-0 victory at newly-promoted Elmore.
The premier division kicked off on Friday night with a 5-0 defeat for Torpoint Athletic at Bovey Tracey.
