Four Lanes man Darren Rodney Allen admits sex assault

A MAN from Four Lanes has been put on the sex offenders register after pleading guilty to a charge of sexual assault.

Darren Rodney Allen, of Forest Farm, admitted sexually assaulting a woman in Camborne on February 28, 2013, when he appeared at Truro Crown Court on Friday.

The court heard how Allen, 40, grabbed the victim's breasts and between her legs while she was fully clothed and said: "I can't believe someone has had this." The victim cannot be named for legal reasons.

Judge Christopher Harvey Clark, QC, said: "You humiliated her. What you did was out of order.

"She was deeply disturbed by your behaviour.

"As I have said it was out of character and you were clearly very distressed. There is no suggestion that you are a habitual offender."

Allen received a four-month prison sentence suspended for 12 months.

He has been put on the sex offenders register and a five-year restraining order has been imposed banning him from contacting the victim.
