Cornwall Council's cabinet committee meets this morning to discuss several contentious issues facing the Duchy.
Among the items on the agenda are the financial health of the authority, and the future of respite homes in Redruth and Truro.
The possible handover of control of Falmouth's municipal buildings to Falmouth Town Council will also be discussed at New County Hall today.
The meeting is likely to be dominated by the authority's failure to hit its savings target by more than £13 million for the financial year 2013-14.
