A FALMOUTH teenager has received top honours for her performance in a production of Guys And Dolls.

Kitty Rowe, 13, received the Roy Crosley Award for best youth performance at Cornwall Drama Association's annual awards.

The youngster played Miss Adelaide in the Young Generation's summer musical, which also saw the group as a whole come third.

It was up against 17 other musicals adjudicated on in the past year.

Actors Rebekah Scamp and Dyland Frankland from the group were nominated for best musical actress and actor and the band received certificates for "sensitive accompaniment" and "excellent (printed) programme".

The group has always done well at the awards and it is the second year in a row one of its team has won the youth performance category.
