BILL STOKES did not know who his father was, as he was taken from his family, aged 6.
His mother Mary Kellow, who still had Mr Stokes's younger sister, Jeanette, married Fred Kellow after Bill had been taken away. The Kellows had nine children, including Danny Kellow, 55, from Redruth, Mark Kellow, 54, from Camborne, and Patrick Kellow, 50, from Truro.
Mr Stokes contacted his half-brothers and half-sister Maria when he was in his twenties but it was not until ten years later that he managed to track down his sister Jeanette Roach, now 67 and living in Edinburgh. She had left home when she was only 17.
Maria Kellow, who lives in Exeter, said: "We knew nothing at all. We wrote to an address but couldn't get any answers. It's great to see them after all these years."
Patrick Kellow said: "I was 5 the last time I saw Jeanette – it's amazing."
