CORNISH funnyman Kernow King will make comedy history on Friday, March 22, when he becomes the first comedian in the UK, quite possibly the world, to perform live in a UFO.
The UFO – based at the Sandsifter, Gwithian, near Hayle, is a 60-foot themed mobile venue based on a spaceship design, with a podium for performers, sunken auditorium and balcony viewing arena. The UFO also boasts a fantastic sound system and acoustics – perfect for Kernow King's wry take on Cornish life.
The charity night will feature a charity auction in aid of Cornwall Hospice Care.
St Julia's Hospice, Hayle, is managed by Cornwall Hospice Care and aims to provide quality care to alleviate pain and distressing symptoms for people with life-threatening illness, and offer practical, emotional and spiritual support to them, their family and their carers.
The auction, featuring a raft of great lots including two return tickets to the Isles of Scilly, food hampers, a gas-fired barbecue and a family ticket to Paradise Park will be conducted by Kernow King in his own inimitable style.
Tickets for the charity event, which starts at 8pm, are limited and are priced at £10.
Tickets can be obtained from the Sandsifter on 01736 757809 or The Cornwall Hospice Care Shop, 10 Fore Street, Hayle. Donations for the raffle and auction are very welcome.
