Jewellery thief runs through Truro city streets

Police are appealing for information after a jewellery thief struck in Truro.

A thief escaped on foot from a jewellers in Truro with a gold neckchain in the middle of the day.

The thief ran out of the shop in the city centre and sped through St Mary’s Mews and towards New Bridge Street at about 1.50pm on Monday.

The man was described as approximately 5ft 7ins tall, skinny with very short light brown hair and wearing a green checked shirt and short jeans.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact PC Paul Stevenson at Truro Police on 101.

    CCTV, and where's a bobby on the beat to give chase when you need one? But what will happen when or if caught, he'll blame his poor up bringing, drugs, a relationship brake up and he'll get let off!
