JAMES WILTON, whose interest in dance began at a young age at Poltair School and St Austell College, returns to the area with his own acclaimed dance company.

He was a student of Jason Thomas Dance and joined Cornwall Youth Dance Company at the age of 15, before being accepted into the highly prestigious London Contemporary Dance School where his choreographic genius came in.

His tours with Lc3 have been both national and international.

Wilton's work incorporates a lot of martial arts and professional wrestling so you can expect high-octane action as the company throw themselves around in a fast-paced and exciting manner. However, his work isn't just thrills and spills. He also incorporates philosophy so while you sit and watch the excitement be prepared to get an insight into the mind and opinions of the man.

The Cornish leg of his national tour is being organised and promoted by the Cornwall Young Promoters Scheme.

Don't miss your chance to come and see this local legend and his company performing their latest work, Cave/Falling Unknown/in cycles, at Truro College's Helford Theatre on Monday at 7.30pm.

CYDC – Cornwall Youth Dance Company – will be performing a short curtain-raiser of work produced in a masterclass with James Wilton.

Tickets are £9 adult, £6 concessions available in advance online from www.crbo.co.uk or telephone 01726 879500.

James's company also performs on Friday at Penrice School, St Austell; Saturday at Performance Centre, Tremough, Penryn; Tuesday at Liskeard School and Community College and Wednesday at Bodmin College. All shows at 7.30pm.
