Fire crews were kept busy across Cornwall last night, with a series of minor incidents to deal with.

At 9.30pm, a crew from St Ives attended an electricity pole on fire at Lelant Downs.

Western Power isolated the electricity supply to the pole, and the crew ensured the scene was safe before leaving.

At 10.25pm, firefighters were called to a property in Pendeen after reports of a person trapped inside after a fall.

The crew gained entry to the house, and handed the occupant into the care of the ambulance service.

At 10.30pm, a single fire engine from Saltash attended a small fire after an unattended bonfire spread into a nearby skip.

One hosereel was used to tackle the flames at the incident in Moorland Lane.
