WITH only three games going ahead in the Combination League on Saturday, leaders Illogan RBL made the most of their game going ahead at Goohavern as they ran out 6-1 winners to go eight points clear.

Dan Richards scored a hat-trick, with Sam Waters, Jason Roberts and Simon Ellis also on target.

Paul Robertson was Goonhavern's goalscorer.

Falmouth Athletic v Perranwell, Hayle v Penryn Athletic, Porthleven v St Ives Town, St Agnes v Redruth United and Troon v Newquay all fell victim to the weather at the weekend.

The two other games to beat the elements saw Mullion run out 6-2 winners at home to Falmouth Town and St Just beat RNAS Culdrose 4-3.

A Rob Carey hat-trick, a brace from Alan Thomas and a Jack Sherlock striker ensured victory for Mullion. Jamie Webb and Ben Allen scored for Town.

For St Just Neil Curnow, Darren Steadman, Lewis Caspell and Ashley Ellis were the scorers, with Lee Martin (2) and Stephen Hughes on target for Culdrose.

Ex Illogan goalkeeper Barrie-John Wyatt has joined Redruth United from Truro City Reserves.
