BOSSES from across west Cornwall have been honoured for taking care of their workers' health.
The Healthy Workplace Awards, at gold, silver and bronze level, were dished out by Cornwall Council's Health Promotion Service at a gala event at the Royal Cornwall Showground at Whitecross.
The service promotes healthier lifestyles at work, putting particular emphasis on support for those wanting to stop smoking or lose weight, walking groups and the delivery of vegetable boxes to workplaces.
Felicity Owen, director of public health, said: "Congratulations to all the companies who received their awards.
"Between them they represent a significant portion of the workforce of Cornwall, who now have the opportunity to be healthier and fitter."
Dame Carol Black, who advise the Department of Health on healthier workplaces, "These awards are always very inspiring, demonstrating wonderful achievements by local companies of all sizes."
