A sea of red and white could be seen moving through Hayle last week as hundreds of school children took part in the annual Santa Parade.
The charity march, organised by Hayle Community School, raises money for Cornwall Hospice Care.
For the first time this year, Hayle Community School was joined by staff and pupils from feeder schools, making it the largest parade yet.
Up to 1,000 children gathered in the school grounds for a warm-up Zumba lesson, led by Susie Coleman from Keep Fit Cornwall.
Along the two-mile route through the town, pupils kept onlookers entertained by playing instruments and singing.
Mark Pollard, Year 6 teacher at Penpol School, said their pupils had a successful first year taking part in the walk.
He added: “They enjoyed it and it all went really smoothly. The children were singing songs and a lot of people came out to support.”
The final amount raised from the event has yet to be announced.
