Hayle club rewards members at annual presentation

Hayle Surf Life Saving Club rewarded members at their annual presentation evening.

Members of Hayle Surf Life Saving Club gathered for a special ceremony which marked their success throughout the year.

The annual presentation evening, which was held at Hayle Rugby Club, saw the club celebrate many achievements that were reached in 2013.

Awards handed out included best attendance, most enthusiastic and best competitor.

Club chairman, Graham Williams, said: “It was a fantastic evening, one of the best we’ve had. It was lovely to see so many members, family and friends there from all sections of the club. Thank you to everyone who helped with the organisation and presentation of the evening, for all the raffle prizes donated and to Hayle RFC staff for making us so welcome.”

A special thank you was given to Gordan Legget, Ben Easterling and captain Mike Lane from Citrus Print Solutions, who sponsored the nipper club shirts at the Nipper Cornish Championships 2013 and presented the trophies.

Most Sandhopper attendances – Ella Parker and Talan Eustace

Most Improved Nippers – Blaze Findlay and Charlie Parker

Most Enthusiastic Nippers – Abby Jose and Isaac Aldridge

Board Award – Olivia Yabslet and Sonny Breslaw

Best Newcomers – Jack and Tristan Woolcock

Best Nipper Competitor – Mia Rule and Connor Keeler

Nipper Shield – Lily Parsons

Endeavourance award girls - Kathryn Onley

Endeavourance award boys - Jacob Friday

Most improved Junior girl - Chloe Penberthy

Most improved Junior boy - Connor Keeler

Junior Shield girls - Vicky Burlingham

Junior Shield boys - Ben Treddinnick

Ski Paddling progress award - Morva Hughes

Overall points girls - Vicky Burlingham

Overall points boys - Nick Pearson

IRB Trophy - Vicky Burlingham

Star Cup - Richard Benwell
