Cadets in Hayle have been given help to increase their training and activities thanks to a grant.
1900 West Cornwall Air Training Corps received £5,900 from the Big Lottery Fund to purchase new laptops, PCs, a projector and screen, as well as two-way radios and remote controlled helicopters.
The extra equipment will help cadets sit their exams online and use a flight simulator to practise their flying skills.
Newly appointed OC flying officer, Mark Wardley, said: “I have worked at several other cadet squadrons in Cornwall and 1900 has the best range of equipment I have seen.
"It gives the cadets a great opportunity to progress their skills using the latest software. The other equipment has helped develop their presentation and leadership skills, all vital for their careers with the cadets.”
The squadron meets every Monday and Friday at 7pm in the Cadet Centre, Commercial Terrace, Hayle where new recruits are welcome.
