HELSTON Town Council is to ask Cornwall Council to look into aspects of refuse collection in the town.

Councillor John Boase was concerned about litter left behind after collections in Cross Street, claiming that sometimes town warden Craig Bowcutt had to clear it up.

But Councillor Ronnie Williams claimed that some of it was "of our own doing", saying some people did not make sure their rubbish was secured against gulls before it was picked up.
