THERE will be an international flavour to Mousehole Male Voice Choir's concert in Kennegy Chapel at 7.30pm on Sunday.

The soloist is Antoaneta Baldzhieva, a Bulgarian who has participated in performances of Tosca, Madame Butterfly, and Nabucco in her capacity as the principal soprano for the State Opera in Bulgaria. Her accompanist is Viktorya James, who is from the Ukraine, and is a classically trained pianist. Antoaneta will be singing Caccini's Ave Maria, Amazing Grace, George Gershwin's Summertime and Time To Say Goodbye. The two ladies now live and work in West Penwith.

This will be a great occasion with the Mousehole choir going from strength to strength with Stephen Lawry as musical director and the support of Annette Turton, their brilliant accompanist, herself a concert pianist before retiring to Cornwall.

The concert is on behalf of Kennegy Chapel funds. The Rosudgeon chapel is alongside the main road to Helston. It underwent a transformation some years ago and is now a multipurpose place of worship, an intimate concert venue, and a lower half which is suitable for social functions. There are parking facilities compatible with these functions.

Admission is £6, pay at the door.
