OVER 100 tents, 50 camping chairs and numerous mattresses, sleeping bags and gazebos rescued from Glastonbury festival will go on sale at bargain prices this weekend.

The camping equipment left behind after the music event was collected from the site by six fire fighters from Camborne, Penzance and Bodmin earlier this month.

The event, which is held in conjunction with Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service’s summer fire safety campaign day where firefighters will be on hand to give advice on staying safe outdoors this summer, takes place at Hayle Rugby Club on Saturday from 10am to 2pm and it is in aid of The Fire Fighters Charity.

The crew hopes to raise between £500 and £1000 from the sale.
