The Environment Agency has issued a flood warning for River Tresillian at Ladock including the B3275, Village Hall, Falmouth Arms, Post Office, Higher Cottages and Lower Cottages.

A flood warning is issued if flooding is expected and immediate action is required.

"River levels are rising in response to persistent rain that has fallen on Saturday morning. An average of 15 mm of rain has fallen and a further 20 mm is possible between now, Saturday until Sunday at 2 am. Rivers are expected to continue to respond through Sunday morning. Strong westerly winds are forecast in the early hours of Sunday with gusts up to 70 mph. Together with high river levels and possible surface water flooding, this may cause hazardous conditions," the Environment Agency said.

The agency advises people to call Floodline on 0845 988 1188, select option 1 and enter Quickdial number 162170 to get more information.
