Sixteen firefighters were called to a bungalow fire in Liskeard in the early hours of this morning.
Crews from Liskeard and Looe attended the fire at a bungalow near the bowling green in Menheniot at around 2.40am.
Upon arrival, crews discovered a fire in the kitchen and confirmed all persons were accounted for.
Firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used a high pressure hose reel and main jet to extinguish the blaze.
Once the fire was under control, crews continued to turn over and damp down and also checked an adjoining property for smoke or fire damage.
Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said the cause of the fire was accidental.
