Tate St Ives are offering anyone planning to take to the town’s streets in fancy dress for the traditional New Year’s Eve party the chance to have a professional artist help dress them up.

The Porthmeor Studio workshops runs from 11am-3pm and is open to any potential revellers aged 15-25 at what is nationally recognised as one of the country’s biggest New Year’s street parties.

It will also give a sneak preview of what other people are planning if you’re short of ideas – from purple chickens to giant baked beans.

For bookings and information about this free event, other opportunities and regular sessions for young people, email Tate St Ives Young People’s Programme Coordinator at sally.noall@tate.org.uk or contact Tate St Ives on 01736 796226

This event is funded through Circuit, a national programme connecting 15-25 year olds to the arts in galleries and museums, led by Tate and the Paul Hamlyn Foundation.
