A HIGH pressure fan was used to clear a smoke-logged kitchen in Falmouth today after a fire broke out.

Five firefighters attended the scene, at Quarry Hill, at around noon to discover the fire was already out.

A fire service spokesman said: “The kitchen was heavily smoke-logged and fire crews entered the building with two breathing apparatus and one carbon dioxide extinguisher but the fire was out on crew’s arrival. A positive pressure ventilation fan was used to clear smoke from the premise before fire crews cleared the scene.”
