A DRAMA group in Falmouth is inviting young people to audition for a new production based on the Dr Seuss children’s books.

The Young Generation of Falmouth is making preparations for Seussicalcorr, which will run at The Poly in the summer.

The group is looking for 10-20-year-olds to perform in the production.

The first rehearsal meeting will be on Thursday next week, from 7-9.30pm at the Falmouth Methodist Church on the Moor.

The main rehearsals throughout the year will be on Thursdays.

Sally Robinson, from Young Generation, said: “The first four rehearsals will be getting to know the music and what the show’s about, and auditions will be held on Sunday, February 23, when the cast of about 35 people will be chosen for the cast.”

The show will be at the Poly from July 29 to August 2.

Tickets for the group’s last show Les Miserables sold out before the first performance began.

“And it is with great enthusiasm that they look forward to working with the challenges of the wonderful ideas and music contained in this very different show of Seussical,” said Ms Robinson.

The cost for taking part in the first four rehearsals from January 30 is £5. Cast will have to pay £30 to cover show costs.

All enquiries should be made to Sally Robinson on 01326-211639 or e-mail sally.robinson13@btinternet.com.
